Annual Home Maintenance Plan
your handyhome story
Your home is more than just a house; it's where memories are made and futures are shaped. It’s your safe haven, it’s your home, your sanctuary.
But it is also a *lot* of work. Often fixing one problem turns into fixing three problems, cutting into a wall is like peeling back an onion, layer after layer of potential issues that have been waiting to see the light of day.
For many of us our days are filled from 6am til after homework, bath and bedtime for the littles, and then we might get to sit down for a quick moment! Keeping track of all the various components of your home and the required preventative maintenance typically gets put on the backburner and we only deal with it once there’s a problem. This inherently causes more stress, time and money, and it always happens at the most inconvenient time (hello, burst pipe the night before Thanksgiving).
Our Annual Maintenance Plan is designed to take the guess work and procrastination out of homeownership and put you back in the driver’s seat. Like a great mechanic, who knows your car inside and out, has a log of your previous repairs and troubleshooting, our plan acts as a manual for your home.

How It Works
-
Step 1
We schedule an in person home inspection where our technician comes out and does a comprehensive walk through of the interior and exterior of your home. We notate everything from the make, model and age of your water heater to the condition of your foundation, whether your attic has insulation, and when you should plan to power wash and seal your deck. We look for cracks in the plaster, signs of water infiltration, test your outlets and just about everything else in between.
-
Step 2
Behind the scenes we write up what we call a ‘HandyHome Manual’ tailored to your home that includes our observations along with photos, and recommendations for short and long term projects to help you plan ahead for those big ticket repairs. We then outline all required preventative maintenance tasks specific to your home (plans are offered on a monthly, quarterly or semi-annual basis). Typically, most of our clients need an initial ‘clean up’ appointment where we come out and take care of a laundry list of to-do’s in preparation for transitioning you into the maintenance phase.
-
Step 3
You review the report and we set up a time to review it together. From there, you make decisions about what you want to do now and what you want to defer, as well as the frequency of our maintenance visits. Then we schedule the dates and get started!
-
Step 4
The icing on the cake; you get to sit back and enjoy the peace of mind that comes from knowing you’ve got your home maintenance on auto pilot.
